Sparkle and Shine

CASE Christmas-Review the card and be inspired by it
Christmas Cards All Year Round- No Stamps
Craft Your Passion-Always Anything Goes

A wonderful lady, named Asha, who creates beautiful cards and adores her fur babies, created a card over at CASE Christmas (You should check it out). I don't have the beautiful stamp she has (reminds me of Russia) but I had this die cut and created a little scene with snow falling. I didn't use any stamps! It's hard to see the village I think because I was compelled to use glitter paper . I coloured the tree and houses and steeple with markers. I used stickers, crystals and a white pen for snow. It is silver and blue (of course blue).

3 colours...or non colours depending how you wish to view it:) Black, white and silver. Again No stamps so it still works for the other challenge at Christmas Cards All Year Round. My mom always loved Black and white and I decided to make a Christmas scene as if one was in the Alps at some ski chalet. I won't ski...I'll be in the hot tub drinking wine.

I have to pay homage to Maureen O'Hara soon since this beautiful lady passed away. Hmmmm, maybe someone will pay homage to her and pick a beautiful Irish tune. I will also post Halloween cards soon. I know Christmas before Halloween-I am crazy.

  2. Once again I see very nice work, dear Birgit. I especially like the second card, the ski chalet Christmas scene. It's a unique concept and a delight to behold. It is sad that we lost two famous actresses of Hollywood's golden era this month, Joan Leslie and Maureen O'Hara. My aunt also died yesterday at the age of 95.

Have a great week, dear friend BB!

  16. I love these! You'll always win me over with sparkle, and you've used it well here, Birgit. Not too much, but enough to make the card feel extra special. And I don't blame you for getting an early start - I love to hand make my cards, but when you have 50+ on your list, that adds up!

  28. OH happy Christmas, Birgit!!! I am tickled that you that you CASEd my card... and you did an amazing job too. That is a magical scene...Christmas wouldn't be the same without glitter and sparkle. Your card is right up my alley, friend! Absolutely ADORE it. Your second card has me humming "Silent Night"... everything looks so peaceful and quiet. Looking forward to more winter wonders from you.

  29. A wonderful winter scene, and I loved that you used the stickers to help create it. It's always good to see how these useful things can be adapted into a card, and not really look like 'stickers'. I'd be joining you in the hot tub! The color scheme is very dramatic too. I hope Miss Maureen will get some tributes (hoping our TMC channel will do a day of her films.) Her role in Quiet Man and McClintock were 2 of my very favorites. She was a beautiful lady, from what I've read about her, she was a generous and gracious person IRLife too. TFS & Hugs.
